Regular meetings of the Lions Club are held on the 2nd. and 4th. Monday in each month, in the basement of the Chase Community Hall. Kitchen facilities are available. The Lady Lions prepare and serve home cooked meals during these meetings. Money raised by the Ladies is donated by them to charities in Chase and District.
The Lady Lions meet regularly and are dedicated to the contribution of a better lifestyle in our community. Membership is open to any woman.
The value of this dedicated group of women is evident at any Chase Lions event. During the 1998 Adams River salmon run the Lady Lions contributed close to 50% of the person hours expended in the food booth. While Erwin Esslinger is usually the chief cook, the Lady Lions do most of the food preparation for the annual Seniors dinner, Charter Nite dinner, Club 400 party and other major events. They show up in equal numbers to the men at Pancake Breakfasts, hot dog sales, Jam Can Curling and other events.
