How did the Library develop?

In around 1989 a group of far-sighted individuals, led by June Hall as President, and supported by Joan Bannister as Treasurer, laid the groundwork for what in 1991 became the new Pender Island Public Library building. This building was designed by Pender Island resident, architect John Roberts. The building is one of which the residents of Pender Island are, justifiably, very proud.
