REMINDER ABOUT THE SURVEY BEING CONDUCTED BY CANADIAN POWER AND SAIL SQUADRONS

The deadline for submitting your responses to Executive Officer Nancy Coutts (kandncoutts at cablelan dot net) is April 15. You should have received an e-mail message from me dated March 15. In case you have lost or deleted it, here is the text of that message again, with the correct URL to directly access Members Moorings. If you do respond, please be sure to carefully read all the background information provided.

This broadcast is issued on behalf of V/C Harry Cole, SN, National Executive Officer.

At the February 11, 2006 Governing Board Meeting a presentation was given on CPS-ECP Image and Awareness, under the title “Bringing CPS-ECP into the 21st Century”.

All District Commanders were asked to take this information back to their Squadrons and the members.

However, as a backup and in order to get as much input from as many of our members as possible, the content of that presentation, along with a six question survey relating to the issues involved has been posted to Members Moorings (4.) under the heading "CPS-ECP Strategic Plan".

If you have not received
notice of this survey, or have not had the opportunity to reply to the issues, I strongly urge you to download the materials on Members Moorings and read the entire file.  Once you have read the materials and have an understanding of the issues, please complete the questionnaire and email it to Pender Squadron's Executive Officer Nancy Coutts for inclusion in the survey results.

This is a very important step for CPS-ECP and will determine how we proceed in the future.

We need your input and input from all members of our organization in order to form a true consensus on these issues.

Therefore I would ask all Districts and Squadrons to promote the link to this information in their newsletters and on their websites so CPS Members will have an opportunity to respond.

Deadline for Pender Island replies to Nancy is April 15, although National's deadline is June 1, 2006.

A summary of all replies will be made to the June Governing Board meeting for discussion prior to presenting motions at the 2006 AGM in October to confirm the changes deemed by our members to be necessary in order to bring our         organization into the 21st Century.

GET INVOLVED IN THE FUTURE OF CPS-ECP!
IT IS YOUR ORGANIZATION!
